John Skipper is the Co-Founder and CEO of Meadowlark Media, with deep experience across sports entertainment.
In 2021, Skipper and Dan Le Batard launched Meadowlark, a content studio and creator network focused on premium storytelling. Skipper and his team have completed a first of its kind licensing deal with DraftKings for the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz and have inked a first-look deal with Apple TV+ for unscripted films. In June 2022, Prime Video greenlit Good Neighbors, a docu-series Meadowlark is co-producing with Skydance Sports.
Skipper previously was the Executive Chairman of DAZN, overseeing its global expansion, rights acquisition strategy and corporate positioning. Prior to joining DAZN, he spent more than two decades with The Walt Disney Company including serving as ESPN President and Co-Chairman, Disney Media Networks, from 2012-2017, securing ESPN’s global leadership position in the competitive sports media landscape through groundbreaking multiplatform rights agreements by embracing new technologies.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Literature from the University of North Carolina and Columbia University, respectively.
